John Burkhart is the Campaign Manager for the Louisiana Campaign for Equal Justice, an initiative dedicated to fair funding for Louisiana’s public defenders. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Miami University and Master’s degree in International Affairs from The New School University. After an initial concentration on international development, including projects in Namibia, Kenya, Malawi and Argentina, he has focused on domestic social and economic issues, including food access for inner city communities in New York. His decision to relocate to New Orleans to pursue criminal justice reform turned out to be a pretty good one.
