John A. Hoda is a licensed private investigator specializing in criminal defense and is an expert in interviewing. He is a thirty-seven year veteran of investigations, former police officer and author of The Ultimate Guide to Taking Statements: Digital Edition. He recently received publisher awards from the National Association of Legal Investigators for articles in PI Magazine and The Legal Investigator. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner and Certified Legal Investigator. He lives in Milford, CT.

On March 18, 2017 - the 54th anniversary of the Gideon v. Wainright decision - NAPD published its Foundational Principles, which are recommended to NAPD members and other persons and organizations interested in advancing the cause of equal justice for accused persons.
