Theories & Themes: How to Win Your Case
October 30, 2018, 2:00 p.m. Eastern, 60 minutes
Webinar Faculty: Carlotta Lepingwell, Litigation & Hearings Specialist. Office of Capital & Forensic Writs (Texas Public Defender Office)
About the Webinar:
A theory of the case is more than just the legal defense. It is the plan for where you are going and how you will shape the law and the facts to get there. Developing a cohesive and viable theory of defense will exponentially increase your odds of winning at trial. However, theory building is one of the more difficult concepts for young lawyers to understand both in terms of how to develop a theory of defense and what is its purpose. This webinar will discuss how to develop a strong theory of defense and how to effectively use that theory from investigation through trial so that you can win your case.
