An Embarrassment of Riches: Making Effective Use of NAPD Webinars?

September 28, 2018, 12:00 p.m. Eastern, 60 minutes

Webinar Faculty:  Michael A. DiLauro

About the Webinar:  Whether a comprehensive training program in place or not (or some hybrid), use NAPD webinars effectively as part of a program design that is: 1) consistent with principles of adult learning (PAL) and 2) incorporates local law and practice.

About the Faculty:  Mike DiLauro is currently Director of Training & Legislative Liaison for the Rhode Island Department of the Public Defender (RIPD) where he has been employed since March 2, 1981. Prior to creating the position of Director of Training & Legislative Liaison he was a member of the RIPD’s Trial Division where he tried approximately sixty capital (potential life sentence) cases to verdict. As Director of Training & Legislative Liaison he is responsible for creating programs that meet the professional needs of the department’s forty plus attorneys and advancing the RIPD’s legislative package through the RI General Assembly while responding to other legislation touching upon the practice of criminal law and procedure, respectively. He maintains a select caseload for systemic litigation purposes.
