Be Well Wendesdays, 1/19/22. "Our Warring Self vs. Our Infinite Self" with Tatiana Kline

About this Week: 
In this session, we will listen to a talk about our warring self vs. our infinite self by Sarah Blondin. The talk looks at our angry tendencies and shifting them into our softness. Blondin encourages that we bring more peace and love into our lives. After the talk, we will discusswhat we have learned and what we can do with that information.

About this week's Facilitator: Tatiana Kline is a Public Defender in San Diego. She graduated from University of San Diego School of Law in 2013 and has been with the Public Defender’s Office since taking the bar in August of 2013. She graduated from the University of Michigan in 2009 with a B.A. in Psychology and a B.A. in English.


About Be Well Wednesdays: Wednesdays at 12:10-1:00 pm Pacific/3:10-4:00 pm Eastern. Drop in for any session. Stay for all or part of the session. Always free.

WHAT: BWW is an ongoing series of drop in sessions to support your well-being. Each session includes an experiential practice (meditation, mindfulness, gratitude, journaling, etc.) and/or facilitated discussion about sustaining well-being in public defense. Sometimes there is an introductory overview but these sessions focus more on participatory experience and less on presentation.

-Thanks for providing this well needed break during our busy virtual weeks.

-I have been loving these weekly be well Wednesday sessions, especially the breath and mindfulness exercises!

-Thank you so much for presenting this. It is so needed. I hit a wall and didn’t even know I was headed for it. I have been recommending it to my colleagues.

-I just wanted to express my thanks for these gatherings. I attended my first this past Wednesday, on the topic of Emotional Intelligence. I got a lot out of it, and thoroughly enjoyed the writing questions and sharing.

-I’m always surprised by how much I get out of the self-reflection sessions, like today’s with Caitlin, or last week’s with John.

-I am very grateful to have Zoomed in today and found Tonglen with you.

-I just learned about Be Well Wednesdays last week and loved the Tree of Life Journaling. Thank you for offering this. This is much needed right now.

-Thank you for creating and facilitating this space!  It is always a much-needed respite in the middle of the week.

-I've loved all the exercises, having different folks leading the discussions, and your calm, encouraging spirit.
