Salt Lake Legal Defender Association (SLLDA)

SLLDA attorneys are court-appointed to represent indigent defendants in criminal cases. An SLLDA appellate attorney carries a full caseload of court-appointed cases. The appellate attorney is responsible for reviewing the record on appeal, selecting appropriate appellate issues, researching and writing appellate briefs, and presenting oral argument, among other responsibilities.

Must be a member of the Utah State Bar. Please submit a cover letter, writing sample, resume and work references.

  • Appellate court clerkship experience is preferred
