Assistant Public Defender/Parole Revocation Defense
The Missouri State Public Defender System is accepting applications for an Assistant Public Defender with the Parole Revocation Defense Team. Position location may be in Columbia, Kansas City, or St. Louis. Placement will be dependent upon needs of the team and candidate availability. This attorney will represent clients in parole revocation hearings in jails and prisons throughout the state. Frequent statewide travel is required.
: Must be a member of the Missouri Bar or eligible for bar licensure in Missouri.
: Starting salary is $48,408. After one year, an APD is eligible for salary increase to $53,688. Eligible for full state benefits including health, life, and long-term disability insurance, retirement plan, paid holidays, vacation, sick leave, CLE training, and payment of bar dues.
