Candidates should have already completed the first year of law school. This temporary position involves various duties that can either supplement the student's major field of study and/or provide experience that is useful in addition to the student's education.

Applicants will be expected to perform the following duties, including but not limited to:

- Conduct legal research on defined or potential issues in cases & present this information orally and through writing

- Draft legal arguments to use in motions, pleadings, and parole board advocacy

- Conduct factual investigations, review, and analysis of pending cases

- Accompany staff attorneys to client visits, oral arguments, trials, and parole preceedings

- Participate in departmental meetings, moots, roundtables, and agency-wide meetings.

The Law Student Intern will enjoy flexible scheduling based around their school schedule and work approximately 10-20 hours a week during the 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM hours, Monday through Friday, not exceeding 30 hours per week. This paid internship will extend through June 2022 with the potential to be renewed July 2022.
