ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibility of assistant public defenders is to provide effective and professional representation to people charged with criminal offenses..
This position requires leadership and supervision of an attorney, an investigator, and a legal assistant within the assigned felony division while also defending clients in your own caseload.
This position is in the Apalachicola (Franklin County) office location.
PAY
$60,000.00 – $75,000.00 annually, commensurate with experience.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must be a member in good standing with the Florida Bar.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Florida Rules Criminal Procedure, Florida Rules of Evidence, and Florida Criminal Statutes.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Juris Doctorate
Five (5) years' or more years' experience in criminal defense law required.
At least 3 years' experience leading an office or team is preferred, but not required. |
