This position provides a full range of legal services to indigent defendants in the assigned courts. This lawyer will handle a wide range of felony cases, from arrest through trial, and duties may include some appellate work. The office works in a team-based approach, and significant cases include the support, collaboration, and input of investigators, social workers, and the other lawyers in the office.

Doctor of Jurisprudence. Licensed to practice law and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas in Texas. Out of state lawyers eligible for waiver into Texas will be considered. Experience with handling a case through jury verdict in felony cases,
Must have or obtain by date of hire a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
