Assistant Public Defender
The 12th Judicial District Public Defender provides indigent defense services for six counties in East and Middle Tennessee, seeking to be at the forefront of public defense by developing a robust and dynamic criminal and juvenile defense practice. Typical day-to-day responsibilities include appearing in General Sessions Court, Circuit Court, and Juvenile Court, as well as working collaboratively with other attorneys, investigators, administrative staff, and external treatment and rehabilitation providers.
Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of the District Public Defender.
This position is based in Jasper, Tennessee, approximately 30 minutes west of downtown Chattanooga.
