Applications are being accepted for a Deputy Assistant Public Defender assigned to the Connecticut Innocence Project/Post-conviction Unit. This position is responsible for the intake and evaluation of all innocence cases submitted to the CTIP/Post Conviction Unit. Additionally, this person will be responsible for all cases identified by staff involving the need for further review. This person in consultation with the Director will determine cases from this group to be pursued by the Unit.
Salary is $70,008 – 78,750 with full State Benefits (New Hires)
Desirable candidates should have experience in criminal defense and post-conviction litigation and be admitted to the Connecticut Bar
