NAPD Membership Coordinator - Remote/Virtual Position
The Membership Coordinator will be the primary NAPD Team Member to respond to NAPD members’ various needs, provide technical support, and undertake live event project management. 
  • Assist/Co-Lead in the project management of Live Training Events (held at various locations throughout the United States); Set up/maintain Live Events in Naylor as needed; Prepare name tags and other materials for in person events; Travel to and assist with in person events as needed; Assist organizations with event registrations upon request; Process additions to registrations for organizations and individuals when requested; Cancel registrations and accompanying invoices when requested
  • Act as backup to process credit card transactions and post payments to Naylor (Operations Director would be responsible for majority of credit card transactions)
  • Assist with registrations and in the Learning Management System; Respond to questions about the meeting times of Online Academy courses for registrants
  • Set up/maintain Webinars in Naylor; Provide promotional materials to increase Webinar participation; Provide registration support and limited technical support as needed
  • Regular review of registrants to determine member status and forward any non-member registrations with a balance due to Operations Director to generate and send invoice to registrant
  • Respond to questions about requesting CLE credits for webinars and courses when requested; Create certificates of completion as appropriate
  • Manage the inventory, sales and distribution of NAPD Online Store merchandise
  • Perform password resets and support members needing other profile changes; Provide back-up support for listserv and website management
  • Import new organizations’ member data in Naylor and communicate with staff; Assist in roster management (making updates and training roster managers); Run membership reports upon request; Back up membership database weekly; Request assistance from the Naylor Help Desk and manage solutions
  • Other duties as assigned by the Operations Director (direct supervisor)

Requirements The ideal candidate will bring:
  • A demonstrated commitment to criminal justice, public defense, racial equity and social justice issues.
  • Experience working with a data management system, spreadsheets, Help Desks, word processing systems, and a basic knowledge of computer usage in a network environment. Sophisticated technical competency a plus.
  • Emotional intelligence and an ability to treat people with patience and kindness combined with energy and enthusiasm. Prior customer service experience a plus.
  • An interest in teaching and a willingness to assist others in getting from Point A to Point B combined with an ability to work cooperatively in a remote, virtual setting to support the mission of NAPD.
  • A high level of organizational and administrative skills to handle a variety of detail-rich tasks promptly and competently as a part-time contractor. Core business day morning and afternoon hours will be required, and availability to support scheduled NAPD events will likely be required.
  • The ability to participate as a fully invested member of a team while working in a remote/virtual workplace.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both orally and in writing.
